ABOUT VINTAGEWOOD SHELF

VintageWoodShelf was created from a deep appreciation for wood — not only as a material, but as something shaped by time, nature, and human care.

We believe furniture should feel lived-in, not mass-produced. It should carry warmth, texture, and a quiet presence that grows more meaningful with everyday use.

Crafted by People Who Know Wood

Our work begins in Vietnam, where experienced artisans bring years of hands-on knowledge to every piece. Their process is unhurried and intentional, guided by respect for natural materials and traditional craftsmanship.

Each shelf, table, or decorative piece is shaped by hand, allowing the wood’s natural character to remain visible rather than hidden behind perfection.

Wood with a Past

In addition to responsibly sourced timber, we work with reclaimed underwater wood — logs that have rested beneath riverbeds for years, naturally preserved by water and pressure.

Recovering this material allows us to minimize new tree cutting while giving a second life to wood that nature has already shaped. Marks, grain variations, and subtle imperfections are not removed — they are part of the story.

Thoughtful Making

Once in the workshop, each piece of wood is carefully cleaned and shaped. As layers are revealed, no two surfaces look the same. Grain patterns emerge slowly, formed by time rather than machines.

This process ensures that every product from VintageWoodShelf is unique, carrying both natural history and the mark of the maker.

Responsibility Beyond Design

Sustainability is woven into how we work. We use FSC-certified materials and follow carbon-neutral practices as part of our responsibility to the environment.

For us, creating furniture also means protecting the resources that make it possible.

Made to Belong in Your Home

VintageWoodShelf designs pieces meant to blend naturally into your space — furniture that feels honest, grounded, and enduring.

Not just objects to place in a room, but companions to everyday living.
